Prof. Molnárné Kovács Judit

Professor at the Institute of Psychology at the University of Debrecen. She has been affiliated to this institute since she got a degree as a psychologist in 1990 (University of Debrecen). Her PhD thesis (2000, University of Debrecen) is titled “The equity principle in workplace motivation”.  In 2022 she acquired a “Doctor of Sciences” degree with the work “Beyond reciprocity – prosocial reactions to injustice” (Hungarian Academy of Sciences).   She is specialized in social psychology, decision making, organizational psychology, economic psychology. Her special research interest is mostly in social justice, conflict, cooperation and competition, as well as in prosocial behavior. The integration of minority groups into the society, work included, are topics of undeniable and utmost importance for any social psychologist. Contributing – with the help of scientific expertise – to the integration of Ukrainian war refugees into host societies – is a must in her view.

  • 2014-2016: participation in creating competence-based tests for selection of leaders. New Public Service Life project hosted by the Hungarian Ministry of Home Affairs.
  • 2011 – 2013: TÁMOP-4.2.2/B-10/1-2010-0024. Support for doctoral training at the University of Debrecen. Lead researcher in sub-programme “Social psychology”.
  • 2010 – 2012: participation in TÁMOP-4.2.1/B-09/1/KONV-2010-0007 project: Improving the quality of high education through research and innovation at the University of Debrecen, Language technology and bioethics sub-project.
  • 2005 – 2006: Participating the Improving chances of the Disabled at work project in the cooperation of University of Debrecen, Institute of Psychology, and Labour Centre in County Hajdú-Bihar, supported by the Foundation for Chance of Disabled.
  • 2002 – 2005: OTKA: F/38185. Informational aspects of trust and the impact exchange of information have on productivity and fairness of organizational relationships.
